Job Well Done Echo Company!

Two of my girlfriends Carolyn and Erica welcomed home their husbands on October 28th, 2008 after a long and hard 7 month deployment. Their husbands were in Afghanistan and are apart of the infantry unit 2/7, Echo Company. It was an early morning for the girls. We all gathered up at Erica's at five in the morning to help them out. Carolyn gave birth while Brandon was gone to Cailyn Ann. She was so excited to meet her Daddy. She was so excited she fell asleep waiting for her Daddy to arrive. Erica has twin girls Ashley and Kaitlyn who are 18 months old. They missed their Daddy so much. I was so excited to be apart of this very special day. Please pray for the Marines that didn't return with Echo company our hearts and prayers go out to their families. Echo company was the first company to come home so please keep praying for the other companies. All of the companies of 2/7 will be home by December.

Carolyn and Erica I am so happy that Brandon and Mike are home with you. You both are so strong! I love you so much. XOXO

Bubba

Big Papa and Little Bouch!

Since we live on base Dave only has a two minute drive to work. He is able to come home and spend some time with Noah on his lunch break. Noah can't get enough of his Daddy! So glad he is home with us.

Pumpkin Patch

Noah's first Halloween is coming up and we want him to have great memories and traditions like we had when we were young. My parents always made the holidays a fun time to spend with family and friends. We would always pick out our pumpkins and carve them as a family on the kitchen floor. My Mom always made our Halloween costumes for us but I'm not that talented instead, I bought Noah's. For Noah's first Halloween he will be a little pumpkin. Dave and I took Noah to a little pumpkin patch a couple towns over with our good friends Diana, Levi, Stephanie, Alex, and Madison. We had a great time. Noah even got to wear his Halloween costume for the first time. It was 95 degrees outside I was determined to get some great pictures with Noah in his pumpkin costume. I sure miss the cool weather back East in Connecticut.

Happy 25th Birthday Margot!

My good friend Margot had her 25th birthday on October 17th, 2008. Erica had everyone over for a big celebration. Her husband John is in Iraq but was able to call! We love you so much Margot. Thanks for letting us be apart of your special day!

Baby Girl #3

My good friend Erica is about to have her third baby girl. She is a mother of twin girls. I met her right before Dave deployed and I had no idea that we would become such good friends. Instead, of having a normal baby shower we decided to have a shower for Erica. It was a lot of fun to hang out with the girls and to celebrate Erica! Erica and her husband Mike don't have a name yet for their baby girl. Erica's due date is December 13th, 2008. I love you Erica!

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Ullmann!

My Mom and Dad send Noah a gift at least every two weeks. This gift in the mail was very special because it was a Halloween package. Noah got a touch and feel book, a blanket, and a little pumpkin outfit. He loves it so much! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ullmann! We love and miss you so much.

Welcome Home Dave!

It was October 11th, 2008 and Dave was finally on his way to Twentynine Palms. The estimated time of arrival was 1 p.m. While I was getting ready all my friends were at my house to help out with anything that I needed. I was being a little crazy because I wanted everything to be perfect for Dave. I couldn't have gotten ready without my friends. They helped me with Noah and hanging up the sign on the garage. When we got to the parking lot that Dave was going to be dropped off in we had to wait awhile. It was a little over an hour and a half that we waited. Dave arrived around 2:30 p.m. The wait was all worth it. He's finally was home!

Getting ready for Dave to come home!

As the days become closer and closer for Dave's arrival back to Twentynine Palms Noah and I were getting ready for the big day! I just can't believe that Dave has been gone for almost seven months. Looking back the time went by slow and fast. I had a great support team out here in Twentynine Palms. I don't know what I would do without my girls. I love you all!

Goodbye to the Whalen's

After living in the desert for two years my good friends Allie and Richard were up for orders. We are sad to see them go but wish them the best of luck! Love you Allie and Richard!
